There is just so much to do around Louth we cannot possibly include everything but here are a few favourites.
For most, the attraction of this area is the wildlife. Miles and miles of wild coastline with dunes and sandy beaches (often all to yourself). This is the county that inspired Tennyson.
St. Boltophs church is well worth a visit . The chancel arch is c1200, and the arcades are early 13th century. The south arcade is awesome with its octagonal waist-high column bases of about 1400. Disused since about 1960, it is now a home to owls and maintained since 1975 by the Churches Conservation Trust (formerly the Redundant Churches Fund) It is a characteristic Lincolnshire marshland church with a special charm and character. It has long had a reputation as one of the most haunted places in Britain with many reported supernatural sightings. We just find it a very peaceful place to be
